The first step toward better health is understanding your starting point.
Your first visit is dedicated to learning your story, understanding your health goals, and gathering a complete picture of your health. Through a comprehensive physical examination and a detailed chiropractic assessment using the Gonstead System of Analysis, we evaluate how your spine and nervous system are functioning to develop personalized recommendations designed specifically for you. This allows our chiropractors in Signal Mountain to offer you the best care possible.
Please allow approximately 60 minutes for your first appointment.

Before your visit, we'll send you secure online paperwork to complete at your convenience.
These forms help us understand your health history, current concerns, previous injuries, lifestyle, and health goals before you arrive. Completing your paperwork in advance allows us to spend less time collecting information and more time getting to know you during your appointment.
Your first visit includes a thorough evaluation designed to help us understand how your body is functioning.
During your appointment, your doctor will:
Each part of the examination provides valuable information that helps us develop a complete understanding of your health.
The Gonstead System uses several forms of analysis to evaluate the spine and nervous system. Rather than relying on a single finding, each piece of information contributes to a comprehensive understanding of your case.
We observe your posture, gait, and overall spinal balance, looking for subtle changes that provide insight into how your body is functioning.
A Nervo-Scope is gently passed along both sides of your spine to measure skin temperature differences. These readings help identify patterns that may indicate areas of nerve irritation.
The examination is completely non-invasive and feels similar to two fingertips gliding down your back.
Your doctor evaluates the tissues surrounding the spine, assessing for swelling, tenderness, muscle tone, and other tissue changes.
Each spinal segment is evaluated individually to determine how it moves. Areas of restricted or abnormal motion provide additional information about spinal function.
When clinically appropriate, digital full-spine X-rays are taken to complete your evaluation.
Within the Gonstead System, X-rays provide valuable information about the structure of your spine and help your doctor determine the most specific adjustment for your individual anatomy. This includes the contact point, line of drive, and direction of correction.
Our goal is to restore healthy function while respecting the unique structure of your body.
